According to religion, there is a distinct difference between heaven and earth. However, everyone knows that the difference between heaven and earth, in the physical sense, can only be discussed in a theoretical sense because, in reality, no one knows what heaven is really like. In fact, heaven exists only in religion. Therefore, in a religious point of view, heaven is the word that is used to indicate the place where the dead and gone are said to live. However, remember only the dead, good people go to heaven. The bad ones go to hell. On the other hand, the earth is the place where we live. Here, we refer to us, the human beings. This is the major difference between the two words heaven and earth.

What is Heaven?

Heaven is believed primarily as the place where gods reside. In Christianity, this is where the God lives with angels. In short, it can be said that the heaven is the abode of God. Apart from the gods, such of those who have attained the state of liberation from the cycle of birth and death are said to occupy the heaven. Some religions believe every dead person reach the heaven after his or her death depending upon the meritorious deeds done by him or her. The person enjoys all the happiness in the heaven. On the completion of the enjoyment as according to the fruits of his actions, he comes back to the earth again. Heaven is often perceived as the supreme goal of life. Several sacrifices and austerities are performed and followed to secure a place in the heaven after death.

What is Earth?

The earth is the abode of human beings, animals, birds, plants and the like. After being born in heaven, such of those who are destined to be born again and again come back to the earth. Earth is believed to be the place where human beings live to perform good actions and deeds so that they can get assured of a place in the heaven. As long as the human beings live on the earth, they are expected to do good to the fellow living beings including other human beings, animals, plants, insects, and any other living being for that matter to attain heaven.

What is the difference between Heaven and Earth?

• Earth is the place where we, human beings, live. On the other hand, heaven is the word that is used to indicate the place where the dead and gone are said to live. However, to go to heaven, the dead person should be good too.

• Those who are destined to be born again and again come back to earth while the ones, who escape from the cycle of birth and death stay in heaven.

• Heaven is believed primarily as the place where gods reside. In Christianity, it is where the God lives with angels.

• Heaven is the place that rewards a person, who has led a life of good deeds on earth. To go to heaven, one must do good on earth. Once the good deeds are paid off in heaven, the person comes back to earth.

In this way, heaven and earth are closely related.
