Training vs Running Shoes
Many people are tempted to use the same pair of shoes when they are running or training. Though there is not much of a difference between training and running shoes if one looks at them in a casual manner, there are nonetheless differences that matter a lot especially if you are running or training seriously. There are some who think of all sports shoes being common and use them indiscriminately whether they are running, walking, doing workouts at the gym or at any other casual occasion. However, knowing the differences between a training shoe and a running shoe can be useful to achieve optimum efficiency and also to avoid accidents and injuries.
Training Shoes
Training shoes may look like any other sports shoe, but they are heavier and are so designed so as to allow for lateral support that is required when a person is doing exercises. Training shoes are not soft, and they appear to be rather firm. However, have a wide base to provide the required support to the person in different positions. Training shoes are used by athletes or sportspersons while doing different exercises whether related to their sports or when hitting the gym. Training shoes are made particularly to impart stability to the trainer when he is making sideways movements.
Running Shoes
The basic purpose of running shoes is to allow for easier motion. This necessitates thicker soles and heels to provide comfort to the runner while at the same time helping in forward propulsion. Running shoes are made with material that keeps the weight of the shoes very low. In addition, the shoes are extremely flexible to allow for easy movements during running. One important feature of running shoes is the treads that are specially made to provide least traction while making an effort to run. In short, running shoes are just perfect for what they are meant for. All runners and joggers wear running shoes though there are specialized versions for sprinters and long distance runners. Running shoes take care of all the shocks that are experienced by the toes of the runner with the help of excellent cushioning material.
