BSc Economics vs BA Economics
BA Economics and BSc Economics have some differences between them. First of all both of them are popular courses among the students in the colleges and both have specific admission procedures too. On the other hand they show some differences too.
BA Economics is a pure art branch of knowledge. The course is studied as part of the Bachelor of Arts program. On the other hand BSc Economics is completed as part of the Bachelor of Science program. This is one of the main differences between BSc Economics and BA Economics.
BSc Economics have some additional subjects when compared to BA Economics. There are practical sessions for students too in the field of applied Economics. This kind of practical sessions are absents in BA Economics.
A few universities prescribe the condition of the completion of a dissertation before the completion of the BSc Economics. Hence students are requested to submit a dissertation to get their degrees. On the other hand the submission of dissertation is not mandatory in the case of BA Economics.
B.Sc Economics involves the study of the subjects of mathematics and statistics more than BA Economics. Some of the universities prescribe the study of a subject called mathematical statistics too for BSc Economics. On the other hand BA Economics students study the subjects of mathematics and statistics at the basic and the medium level. In other words it can be said that BSc Economics students study these subjects at the advanced level.
BA Economics is usually three years of duration. On the other hand BSc Economics is also of three years duration but it is of four years duration is a few universities in the world. It is believed that BSc Economics fetches more lucrative jobs than BA Economics. This is due to the reason that BA Economics is considered a traditional course.
