It is a 24MP high-resolution sensor that gives bigger detailed prints. The camera’s ISO range is 50 – 51200 where files can be saved in RAW format for post-processing. The low light ISO stands at 2956, which is a high ISO rating. For mounting lenses, Nikon F Mount is used which can support 236 native lenses. The Nikon 750D comprises of a 3.2 inches tilting LCD screen with 1,229k dots. The screen is larger, and the resolution is above standard and flexible. The camera is built in with an Optical (Pentaprism) viewfinder with a coverage of 100% and magnification of 0.7x. The Nikon D750 can continuously shoot at a frame rate of 6.5 fps. The maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 sec. The camera features a built-in flash and can support external flashes too.

A rare and special feature of the Nikon D750 is the contrast detection and phase detection autofocus system. The battery life can last for 1230 shots, which is above the DSLR average of 863 shots. This does not contain an anti-aliasing filter and that gives way to a sharper detailed resolution filled image. The camera’s ISO range is 64 – 12800 where files can be saved in RAW format for post-processing. The low light ISO stands at 2853, which is a high ISO rating. For mounting lenses, Nikon F Mount is used which can support 236 native lenses. The Nikon D810 comprises of a 3.2 inches fixed LCD screen with 1,229k dots. What is the difference between Nikon D750 and Nikon D810?

Screen:

Nikon D750: Tilting screen.

Nikon D810: Fixed screen.

The tilting screen provides flexible shooting positions for photography. This will allow for overhead, near the ground, self-portraits shots easily.

Maximum ISO:

Nikon D750: 51,200.

Nikon D810: 12,800.

The maximum ISO of the Nikon D750 is 300% higher than the Nikon D810. The higher the ISO, the higher the sensitivity of the camera. These high ISO values are really useful, especially when, shooting moving objects with a high shutter speed to freeze them. For sporting events, high ISO plus high shutter speed will be the combination that would be used.

Continuous Shooting:

Nikon D750: 6.5 fps.

Nikon D810: 5 fps.

Although the Nikon D750 has a higher fps, both the values are average when comparing with other cameras. This mode is very useful for taking shots when there is movement. The higher the frames per second the more shoots that can be captured.

Battery Life:

Nikon D750: 1230 shots.

Nikon D810: 1200 shots.

Nikon D750 has 30 extra frames per charge, but both the values are way above the average for DSLR that is 863. This means that the battery will last longer for a single charge and we don’t need to change or charge the battery in the middle of an event.

The Nikon D750 is 230g lighter and that gives it an edge on portability over Nikon D810. As both cameras are large in dimension, the weight will become a determining factor.

In sports photography, higher low light ISO is advantageous. A higher low ISO is best suited to obtain faster shutter speeds. When there is low light, a higher ISO number will help get a better exposed image.

The Nikon D810 has a 50 % higher pixel count. This will lead to a higher pixel density and a crisp detailed and sharper image. A higher value will be useful for post image processing as well.

The Nikon D810 has a faster shutter speed. The faster speed will be capable of freezing any sport action. This will also be useful when using fast lenses with large aperture under bright sunlight.

The Nikon D810 has more color depth for better picture Quality. This is an indicator of the various colors the camera can capture. The higher the value the richer the color of the photo. The Nikon D810 has a better value than the Nikon D750.

The Nikon D810 has a higher dynamic range. This number represents how well it sees the range of light. In other words, it is the maximum and minimum light intensities that are measurable.

Nikon D750 vs Nikon D810

The Nikon D810 has 50% more megapixels than the Nikon D750. This gives better picture quality as well as more detail to the images. It also does not consist of a low pass filter and that provides with a sharper crisp image. So, in terms of image quality, the Nikon D810 is much better than the D750.

If we compare the prices of the two cameras, the Nikon D810 is an expensive one. But, if we consider value for money, the Nikon D750 is a great offer for its features. The Nikon D750 is light weight by 230g, which makes it more portable. Both cameras have a large body that is a disadvantage. Both do not support image stabilization.

So if you want better imaging, your choice should be the Nikon D810. If you want value for money, your choice should definitely be the Nikon D750.
