Difference Between Prerequisite and Requisite

Prerequisite vs Requisite

When we read the word prerequisite it implies that there are certain conditions and requirements that are to be satisfied for an event to take place. The word requisite vastly differentiates from prerequisite as it implies that there are certain things that are absolutely necessary in the event that is taking place. Both the words prerequisite and requisite are used to describe qualifications in the field of education but prerequisite is used for qualifications that are required by a student to get admission in a particular course and requisite is used for the qualifications that a student must possess to complete the course.

Prerequisite

Prerequisite word is generally used for qualifications that one must possess while applying for a job or for a particular course and prerequisites serve as the standard to judge the able applicants on the common platform. The prerequisite or qualification is also necessary to judge the applicant for his ability to carry out the job or course efficiently.

Requisite

Requisite word is used in more general terms to describe certain things which are must in life, to run a machine or to write computer software. Requisites can be called as ingredients or components that are indispensable to get result of any activity. There are different types of requisites that are used to define different things and are used as noun to describe the verb in a sentence.

Prerequisite vs Requisite

• Prerequisite is essential to begin an event but requisite is essential to complete it.

• Prerequisite a definite term as it is forms the base where as requisite is the general term that forms the medium.

• Prerequisite is the standard that a person or a thing must have to on to next level where as requisite is the component to take them to next level.

• Prerequisite is used as adjective and requisite is used as noun and adverb.
