Samsung Focus vs HTC Thunderbolt – Full Specs Compared
Samsung Focus and HTC Thunderbolt are two entirely different phones, they have two distinct features. HTC Thunderbolt is a high end Android 4G phone and Samsung Focus is a good Windows 3G phone. HTC Thunderbolt has a huge 4.3 inch display, High powered 1GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB internal memory with another 32GB pre-installed microSD card and 8 MP camera. It also features a front facing camera for video calling and runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) which is upgradeable. Whereas Samsung Focus is a Windows Phone with 4 inch super AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory and 5 MP rear camera. It runs Windows Phone 7. Samsung Focus does not have a front camera and does not support Adobe Flash Player. The major difference users will experience between Samsung Focus and HTC Thunderbolt is the operating system. Android 2.2 is an excellent mobile operating system with loads of features, both basic phone features and multimedia features. Windows Phone 7 (WP7) cannot match with Android 2.2 in features, but it’s a very smooth system and its main two attractions are the XBox Live for gaming and Zune for multimedia. Also as people are very familiar with Windows operating sytem in their PCs, they will find WP7 as a native system. HTC Thunderbolt has the advantage of 4G-LTE connectivity. Web browsing is an excellent experience with HTC Thunderbolt with super fast processor and 4G connectivity, you can do seamless browsing with Adobe Falsh Player and pages load extremely fast.
But everything what you get is at a price, HTC Thuderbolt cost much more than Samsung Focus. The regular price of the HTC Thunderbolt is $750 and Samsung is only $550. The US carrier for HTC Thunderbolt is Verizon and the phone is available for $250 with a new two year contract. And it requires a voice plan with datapack, which is $30 or more for monthly access. Whereas AT&T is the US carrier for Samsung Focus and it’s available for $50 with new 2 year contract and you can get the 1GB datapack for $15 monthly access or 2GB datapack for $25 monthly access.
